E-mail spoofing is a growing problem and has reached the point where you cannot rely on the information displayed in your e-mail client to tell you who really sent a message. Some jurisdictions have enacted laws against this form of “e-mail identity theft,” but the more effective solution is apt to be a technological one that makes it possible to authenticate the senders of e-mail messages. The most popular mechanisms currently in development are SPF and Microsoft’s Sender ID. In this article, we took a look at the problem and the proposed solutions.

An intrathecal pump works to relieve chronic pain
An intrathecal (spinal) pump works to relieve chronic pain by inserting small amounts of medicine directly into the intrathecal space (area surrounding the spinal cord) to prevent pain signals from being perceived by the brain. This video gives a clear picture of an intrathecal pump implant. I had hoped to be a candidate for this procedure but alas I am not. It is truly "Star Wars" medicine.

Don’t Be a Victim of Jury Duty Scams
Don’t Be a Victim of Jury Duty Scams:
- Court workers don’t call to tell you missed jury duty. Rarely, you might receive a call about jury duty but only after you have mailed back your completed questionnaire
- Simply never give out bank account, social security, or credit card numbers over the phone if you didn't initiate the call. Call back using a phone number you know is legitimate.
- Examine your credit card and bank account statements every month. Look for charges you did not make. Immediately call the agency and challenge items you did not approve.
